Privacy Policy
Accounting Buddy by Calculators (“ABC”, “we”, “us”) is an invite-only client portal run by Calculators — The Tax People, a Chartered Accountants firm in India. It helps clients and accountants collaborate on business books: bank transactions, coding, reports and period close preparation.
Who this applies to
This policy covers people who sign in to numbers.calculators.work after being invited by their accountant or firm administrator. Access is invite-only. We do not offer public self-registration.
Google sign-in
You may sign in with Google. When you do, we ask Google only for basic identity through the standard openid, email and profile scopes. From Google we receive your email address, name and basic profile identifier so we can match you to an existing invitation and create your session.
- We use Google solely for sign-in identity.
- We do not read your Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar or any other Google product data.
- We do not request offline access or publish content to your Google account.
- If your Google email is not on an active invite or firm roster, you will not get into the portal.
What we collect
- Account identity: email, display name, role (firm admin, accountant, client admin or client staff), and sign-in timestamps.
- Business financial data you or your firm upload or enter: bank statement lines, ledger mappings, documents (bills, PDFs), chat messages about transactions, reports and period-close workflow status.
- Technical data: browser session tokens and similar local storage needed to keep you signed in; basic server logs for security and reliability.
How we use data
- To authenticate invited users and keep the portal secure.
- To let clients tag bank transactions and let firm accountants review, approve and prepare books and filing handoffs.
- To show reports and status inside the portal to people who already have access to that client.
- To operate optional reminder settings (email templates). Outbound reminders are not sent until the firm turns sending on and a partner has approved it.
We do not sell personal or financial data. We do not use Google user data for advertising or for training unrelated AI models.
Who can see your information
- You (for your own profile and the clients you are allowed to access).
- Firm administrators and accountants assigned to your client, so they can review coding and books.
- Our hosting and database providers that process data on our instructions (currently the app is hosted on Bluehost; application data is stored in Supabase in the Mumbai / India region).
We may disclose information if required by Indian law or a valid legal process, or to protect the security of the service.
Storage and retention
Application data is stored in Supabase (India / Mumbai region). Retention of client books and documents is at the firm’s discretion, consistent with professional record-keeping for Chartered Accountants work. You can ask your firm administrator about deletion or export of your organisation’s data.
Cookies and local storage
ABC uses browser local storage and session cookies (or equivalent) to keep you signed in and remember connection settings on this device. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Children
ABC is a business accounting portal for invited adult users. It is not directed at children under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy when the product or law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of ABC after an update means you accept the revised policy.
